Articulate Design Challenges

I occasionally try out the weekly design challenges from Articulate. You can see my efforts here.

Financial Checks Course

Everybody – both L&D and general staff alike – groan when they hear the words “compliance training.” I was on a mission to create a course about fraud and financial checks that would keep the learner involved and interested.

Maybe it’s a result of having grown up in the US, but when I heard the words “fraud,” it brought to mind cowboys. You can check out the course here.

Personas E-Learning Course

This course was created as part of Sales Training for a company that I worked at. I was given ten different personas and a thirty-minute course time to make them memorable to the learner – that’s only three minutes per persona! I liked the feel of a whodunnit, film noir vibe, which served as an inspiration. You can view more about the project here or experience an edited version directly by clicking here.

Make-A-Wish Animated Video

This video was created as part of the Make-A-Wish Business Challenge. While on site, I had <2 hours to write a script, create, and edit a video. I used Vyond, as this was already part of my skillset at the time. After the challenge (and a bit of cleaning up and editing) the video was even sent to the little girl to help her look forward to her special day.

The voice-over was originally done in English, later translated into Dutch and done with Murf AI. You can view the full video here.

Old-School 8-Bit E-Learning

I’ll be honest: I was never a big gamer, but I did play the original Super Mario Bros when I was a kid. That, coupled with the fact that my fiance is both into gaming and in the industry himself, inspired me to look at how I can incorporate video game style elements into my e-learnings and courses overall. I learned so much through creating this course template, which you can experience (or rather, play) by clicking here.
